Week in Review: December 3 - 8

Birthdays: I've fallen out of the habit of doing birthdays, but I'm going to try to get back into it.  This week we noted the birthday of one of TV's favourite vampires, Ian Somerhalder, who turned 34 yesterday.

Movies - New movies of the week were Silver Linings Playbook and the semi-Christmas movie Rise of the Guardians. I loved the world that Rise of the Guardians created and look forward to any sequels that they make, assuming they make any.  As for Silver Linings, I expect this one to win some awards, or at least be nominated, it was really good.  Other movies of the week were Thor and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.  One was really good the other was not so much, I'll let you figure out which was which.

Books - This week we did two comics, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight and the IDW Publishing mini series Spike. I really liked the first arch of Season Eight, and while I wasn't as much of a fan of the second arch I did like where the season ended and the set up it's provided for Season Nine.

TV - Double dose this week, with the fifth season of Sons of Anarchy, which just ended, and the second season of the same show.  I'm really hooked on this show and can't wait for the next season.

Recommendations - New movies out this week are Hyde Park on Hudson and Playing for Keeps neither of which I expect to be all that good.  See them, don't see them, your call.

Next Week - Up next week is 3, 2, 1... Frankie Go Boom, Lincoln, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.  Book of the week will be Drive, the book upon which the movie of the same name, starring Ryan Gosling, was based on.

Requests -Anything I should read or watch? Let me know!
