Week in Review: November 26 - December 1

Movies - No new movie this week, so instead I treated you to two bad movies.  First up was the cult classic Zardoz starring Sean Connery as the Exterminator Zed.  Second up was The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which is the worst in the Twilight series.

Books - This week we did the third, and my least favourite, of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander novels, Voyager. This one really serves as a bridge connecting the Rising books to the Revolution books and is weakened by that, in my opinion.  It's still good though, such is Gabaldon's skill as a writer.

TV - In celebration of the life of actor Larry Hagman, who died last week at the age of 81, we did the first seasons of both the original run and the revival of Dallas.  I am ridiculously hooked on both these shows and can't wait to watch their second seasons.

Recommendations - There were no new movies this week.  I really don't have any interest in anything new that's out.  Instead there's a bunch of movies new to DVD that I recommended, the best of which being Men in Black 3.

Next Week - No guarantees for next week, but I'm going to try to do two new movies - both Rise of the Guardians, which I meant to do this week, and Silver Linings Playbook.  We're also going to continue the Twilight-a-thon with The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.  To give us a bit of a vampire theme for the week, I'm also going to do Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 as the book of the week.  And rounding out things will be the fifth season of Sons of Anarchy, which ends on Tuesday.  I think I'll also do the second season of Sons, just because I know I'm behind on that.

Requests - Any requests? Let me know!
