Today is the birthday of twin actors Aaron and Shawn Ashmore!
I first became aware of the Ashmores when Shawn appeared as Jake Berenson in the short lived Animorphs, based on the books of the same name. While the series in itself wasn't all that good I was captivated by the lead actor and have followed him and his brother a bit ever since.
While many might think that they're the same person, they aren't, and even the roles that they take are different - Shawn tends to play the nice guy, while Aaron plays the bad one. As such, they're the embodiment of the idea of the good and bad twin.
While Shawn got his start in Animorphs he is probably best known for his role in the X-Men movies where he portrayed Bobby Drake, aka "Iceman," and can next be seen in the Fox drama The Following, which is set to air sometime next year. Aaron's biggest role, however, has been as Jimmy Olsen in Smallville, although he's also had reoccurring bits in Veronica Mars, Missing, Lost Girl, and now starring role in Warehouse 13, where he plays former ATF agent Steve Jinks.
